Project from my first year in the integrated preparatory cycle (PEIP, year 1 of 5) at Polytech Tours.

A Texas Hold'em poker game in Python with a graphical interface and an adversarial AI. The AI uses a Monte Carlo method to randomly simulate many possible endings and statistically estimate its winning probability before deciding to fold, call or raise.

  • Multi-plateforme (Windows, macOS, Linux), installation pip install -r requirements.txt

The program

  • Graphical interface to play against virtual opponents
  • Configurable AI: number of players and aggressiveness level tunable via a config file
  • Monte Carlo decision-making — the AI samples many scenarios to estimate its odds before each action
  • Matplotlib visualizations (probabilities, game statistics)
  • Cross-platform (Windows, macOS, Linux), install via pip install -r requirements.txt

One of my first algorithmics and AI projects — a chance to work with probability, random sampling and structuring a program into modules.
